Gluten Free Pumpkin Sauce Pizza

Calling all of my pumpkin lovers! Get ready for this...Gluten free pumpkin sauce pizza. This sauce shows that pumpkin isn't just meant for a sweet treat, it is also the best savory sauce to put all over your favorite gluten free pizza crust. This fall inspired pizza is packed with so much goodness, topped with mozzarella and gouda cheese, maple sausage, shiitake mushrooms, shallots, garlic and sprinkled with fresh basil. This pizza is the definition of Fall comfort food! Enjoy!

Serves 6 Prep Time 15 minutes Cook Time 10 mins Total Time 20 mins


  • 1 premade gluten free pizza crust

  • 2 cloves minced garlic

  • 1 large shallot sliced

  • 1 tablespoon butter

  • 1 tablespoon avocado oil

  • 1/3 cup pumpkin puree

  • 4 tablespoons heavy cream

  • 1/2 pound ground maple sausage

  • 1 cup sliced shiitake mushrooms

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

  • 1/2 cup shredded gouda cheese

  • salt and pepper to taste

  • Fresh basil (optional)


  1. Follow directions on the premade pizza crust to preheat oven.

  2. Place a medium sauce pan over medium heat and add the butter and oil. Once butter is melted add your minced garlic and half of the shallot and cook until soft. Then add pumpkin puree and heavy cream, stir until fully combined and let simmer for 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper and set aside.

  3. In a medium skillet over medium heat brown ground maple sausage. Once browned add sliced mushrooms and remaining shallots and cook until soft.

  4. Place pizza crust on pizza stone or pan and spread the pumpkin sauce evenly around the entire crust. Sprinkle with mozzarella and gouda cheese. Top with sausage, mushrooms and shallots. Follow directions on pizza crust to cook pizza.

  5. Once cooked slice pizza and top with fresh basil.

  6. Serve and ENJOY!!!!
