Spiced Cranberry Sauce with Oranges and Bourbon

This simple gluten free spiced cranberry sauce will be the perfect addiction to your holiday table. Made with fresh cranberries, cinnamon, oranges and a fun twist of bourbon. The beautiful colors and flavor are sure to be a hit at your holiday meal.

Serves 6 Prep Time 15 mins Cook Time 30 mins Total Time 45 mins


  • 1 16 oz bag of fresh cranberries

  • 3/4 cups of water

  • 3/4 cups of brown sugar

  • 4 tablespoons of bourbon

  • 4 orange slices

  • 3 cinnamon sticks

  • pinch of salt


  1. In a medium pot combine water, sugar, bourbon, orange slices, cinnamon and salt. Stirring constantly bringing to a boil.

  2. Reduce heat and add cranberries. Simmer for 20-30 minutes, until most of the cranberries have popped and sauce starts to thicken. Stir occasionally.

  3. Remove from heat and let cool. Then remove orange slices and cinnamon sticks and refrigerate until ready to serve.

  4. ENJOY!!!
